Abraham + Julie

Abraham (aka AJ) & Julie…..can we first say, these both most definitely know how to throw one epic party.  Not only was the ceremony in Carmel beautiful and awesome to film, the reception was completely off the chain.  Emotions went from ecstatic to emotional, and then repeated a countless number of times…. The fusion of culture with family joined together from around the globe was magnetic.  They both put a massive amount of time and energy into making the details perfect, and as the day played out, we were super amped to be there capturing everything, especially being among the wild at the reception.

Thanks AJ & Julie for sharing those moments with us, we encourage you to have an anniversary party every year; we’d bring the cameras.

Dale + Mary

Being part of a wedding comprised of 12 people is something uniquely special. Such an intimate occasion to the point where we really felt like part of the family.  It was an adventure filled day beginning with an early morning hike to check out the rocky coast then back for some beach chilling. The serene shoreline with its crashing surf and sand shaded by a rocky ledge made a perfect backdrop for the ceremony officiated by a family friend. Celebrations in the evening included al fresco dinning under the stars overlooking the Avila bay as well as a late night SLO outing to surprise local friends with the news of their “secret” wedding.

Making a new debut in this cinema shoot was our ariel camera rig, seeing a familiar haunt of ours from a totally new perspective; aww to be a bird :).

Thank you, Dale and Mary and your wonderful family for the opportunity to film and photograph your iconic day. May your future be blessed with the serenity your wedding day espoused.

Morgan + Jenny

A strong breeze on a warm summer day on the beautiful ranch of Windfall Farms was the perfect backdrop for the union of this wonderful couple.  For Jenny and Morgan this was their second time in front of our cameras.  They made a debut as bidesmade and groomsman for a close friend’s previous wedding.  With their fun-loving, relaxed and cheerful personalities, they made perfect stars in their own featured day.

So many details made this a fabulous wedding from the vintage barn, to the outdoor ceremony, and the spectacular getaway. Shout out to Mary at Joyfully Joined for running the day smoothy and for Kramer Events for keeping the party going as they always do.

Giacomo + Angee

Location: Diso, Italy

The crew loves to travel and many of us have traveled extensively over the years.  When on the road for work, these travels always become much more unique and special. Our recent Italy trip to capture Giacomo & Angee’s wedding was no exception—it was perfect.  It wasn’t so much Rome & our wanderings around that majestic city.  It wasn’t even our road trip to the south of Italy when we drove down two Italian coastlines & across the middle of the country.  What made the trip was the town of Diso and its people.  Our first night set the stage as we joined the Corvaglia family in their beautiful home for dinner. They took us in as family, and we all came close to dying from over eating after each meal—Italians have not only perfected hospitality, but also the ability to convince you that you MUST eat more.  We’re still shaking off the pounds which were well worth it.

We’d like to thank Giacomo & Angee for including us in more than just their wedding, but their lives for a week.  From the lighting ceremony in Diso, the procession to Chiesa dei Santi Filippo e Giacomo where their matrimony was locked—to the Villa Vergine estate where half the Mediterranean was laid out for the party to eat.  It was magical, the olive groves to the pristine coastline, the intricate little deli with its incredible selection of meats, cheeses and wine…

We extend our love and appreciation to the Corvaglia family for their perpetual kindness, and for shipping half a ton of our souvenirs home. And to Daniele and Maria Vittoria at B&B Vignali, one epic bed and breakfast with amazing hospitality that perfected our stay.

Capturing this intimate wedding brought to light how sincere love crosses borders and boundaries, languages and cultures; it is a universal language we all speak, and have the ability to embrace.  We will cherish so many of the wonderful relationships we gained that will last a lifetime.

Grazie Bella Diso. Amore Domina.

Raul + Elizabeth

Location: San Luis Obispo, C.A.

Sometimes we are fortunate enough to film our friends’ weddings; with Raul & Liz, we had that opportunity.  When you know the couple before hand, you already know concretely their core & the sentiments of their characters, which makes filming them a righteous time.  We have much admiration for Raul & Liz, and are very proud to present to them our film of their wedding day.  Their family ranch in the hills of San Luis Obispo was the perfect setting to shoot.  Their families were so hospitable, we were included as part of the party, opposed to vendors alone.  We enjoyed it so much that Andrew over ate and had to sit out for a while ‘-).

Kramer, you guys never let a party down.  Flowers by Denise, your floral arrangements were out of mind awesome.  Central Coast Party Helpers, Andrew attests to how good the food was you served.

Raul & Liz, it’s time to move forward & walk down that path; here’s your film, we hope you enjoy it as much as we’ve enjoyed making it.

Casey + Heather

Casey & Heather

Location: Monterey, C.A.

Venue: Perry House

A real gift in shooting films comes when we have the opportunity to be part of a couple who’ve triumphed many of life’s obstacles to reach the day where they, along with their families, celebrate those triumphs and “tie the knot.”  April 7th was that day for Casey & Heather, in Monterey at the beautiful Perry house.

This was our first shoot at the Perry House. Such a great location to film a wedding with the views of the bay and it’s elegant vintage charm. The staff helped the day roll along smoothly and Classic Catering made the most epic pizzas with the onsite wood fired pizza oven.

Much love to Casey & Heather for the opportunity to kick off our ’13 wedding year with their amazing day!

David + Maryn

David & Maryn
Location: Pacific Grove
The Crew: John, Andrew

Overview:
One of the challenging parts of putting together any film is the story line mixed with the visual element. The idea behind our engagement films is to combine these elements in a personal way that showcases a “behind the scenes” look.
As a visual storyteller, I love to hear the unique details and circumstances that happen to bring a couple together. David and Maryn have a fun playful story of their meeting and how they came to fall in love. The persistent humor throughout the filming was definitely our style.

My favorite part of the day was shooting the breakfast scenes at the cafe. It was great to capture the down home vibe of the location and to take a break from running after two bikes and enjoy some epic quiche.
John

The Pacific Grove shoot.  This was an awesome shoot.  I believe we drove down from north for this.  Yet despite where we drove from, I remember it was early as the bird and the worm fight.  I know Dave was feeling that early gig, too ‘-).  Yet sometimes a little toil ten folds the end product.  And truthfully the only toil in shooting this film was the early morning (as all early mornings are for me).  John really had the vision for this film, and Dave and Maryn really portrayed the gold I see in it.  Dave and Maryn were just fun, there’s no way around that…. my stomach was aching the whole time.  So I proudly give the credit of this film over to John, David, Maryn, and of course Sanden Gocka for dialing in the music with John, mixing and mastering it.  Sanden is a sage in this genre.  And now, David and Maryn are married.  I wish them luck, I hope them happiness… and many more years of the laughter I was fortunate enough to be a part of for a day in my life.
Arrivederci, compadres!  Y Buena suerte!

Tom + Cindy

Tom + Cindy
Location:
Los Olivos, CA
The Crew:
Andrew, Jason

Overview:
Being the first shooter for this wedding, ironically, Jason was the one who scoped out the venue before hand and briefed me on details of how the day was to unfold.  So for me, it was run and gun.  It was fast.  For Tom & Cindy, ay, quite the opposite, my friends.  This wedding was one which expressed true, solid & mature love.  You could see it in their eyes, most definitely “hear” it in their words, & I was wrapped up in it by their families & guests.  I find it uncanny how much I can learn about life in general simply from being in the presence of great people & great love.  Tom & Cindy wedding, priceless & heartfelt.  A true embodiment of union.  It was rad.
-Andrew

Tom and Cindy were a blast to work with, especially with their fun, quirky personalities. I loved their homey venue and their musical/Disney themed wedding. I had the opportunity to chat with some of their friends and family, and I know they are all excited for the future of Tom and Cindy.

As I have said countless times, my favorite part of being in this business is taking part in someone’s life for a special moment and capturing memories to be enjoyed for years to come. Our first quinceañera was quite a fun and enjoyable experience. Such an epic celebration surrounded by so many friends and family.  Shooting on location for the Mass at San Miguel Mission was incredible. I could probably film there for two days before running out of creative ideas…..
-John

Growing up in a multicultural family I was able to experience the beauty of a life diverse.  As a young adult, this spawned part of my desire to travel and live among many cultures.  It’s a passion which still runs strong to the day.  When I caught word we were filming a qinceañera I was excited.  The only part which topped that excitement was actually filming it, and watching a culture sit in calm within a 302 year old mission, to rising up with the righteous music at the reception.  The traditions unfolded boldly in their routine…. it was marvelous to be a part of.  Congratulations, Arely, for reaching a milestone, and may the world continue to grace you with those bona fide people.

Angelina & Nathan

San Francisco, CA

John, Andrew, Jason

Overview:

Finally!! It was about time you both tied the knot!
Angelina and Nathan have been close acquaintances of mine for the last several years. We have shared some fun times together from Tahoe snowboarding to a few great nights out in SLO.  I was thrilled to be asked to take part in their special day. Upon planning the wedding, the urban backdrop of San Francisco, the city of love and their new residence, became the perfect place for this wedding.  It was a perfect warm sunny day which heavily assisted us in getting the city vistas that we had hoped to capture. The reception was a real party and such a great scene to join family and friends together.
-John

When filming weddings, you hear a lot of stories.  Spending time with Angelina before her wedding, filming her as she was getting her hair done & such, man, she was on fire with excitement & nerves.  We drove her from Napa to SF….after she was already in her wedding dress…. Totally righteous!  On the drive she told me a little about her & Nathan… What a story, what a ride! & to be there on their wedding day, to see the binding of two diverse families & cultures… Was love, in many forms.  Angelina & Nathan wedding…. Audacious, serene, a party!
-Andrew

I’m glad we had the opportunity to spend some quality time with Angelina and Nathan from the time she was getting her hair done to the moment of the last song played by the DJ at the wedding reception. The marriage mixed two different, rich cultures together to form a perfect union between them both and their families.
